In partnership with Cy-Fair Helping Hands and Faith Church, the Nimatullahi Sufi community participated in building and delivering Thanksgiving food boxes for underpriviledged families in Greater Houston.
A total of 800 boxes were built just prior to Thanksgving..
Building Thanksgiving food boxes at Faith Church
Half the boxes were brought to Cy-Fair Helping Hands and the other half were kept at Faith Church. Each location served as a food pickup location for underpriviledged families in Greater Houston.
Cars started to line up early in the morning to get their Thanksgiving food boxes and a fresh turkey. For many families, without this assistance, they would not have been able to celebrate this traditional American holiday.
